About this project
This project will provide funding for basic furniture such as tables, chairs, classroom board, benches for 6 schools.
District - Kalahandi, Taluka - Koksara, Village - Tarapur
This school is in the rural district of Kalahandi in Odisha state. This school was started in the year 2009 in a Government-abandoned office. Land was donated by local villagers to construct the school in that area, as children were travelling around 8 to 9 kms every day for school. The school serves students from grades K-5 with approximately 210 students. School committee has applied for teaching higher grades for the next academic year, to support more students of surrounding areas. Most of the villagers are farm laborers and fall under the low-income background.
District - Kalahandi, Taluka - Dharmagarh, Village - Tambachhada
This school is in the rural district of Kalahandi in Odisha state. The school was started in the year 2011 in the house of a local devotee. Land was donated by local villagers to Care for Children for constructing the school in that area, as there were no schools in and around an area of 30 sq. miles. It teaches students from grades K-5 with approximately 230 students. School committee has applied for teaching higher grades for the next academic year, to reduce dropout rate of the students from the village. Most of the villagers are migrant farm-laborers and fall under the low-income background.

School committee has applied for teaching higher grades for the next academic year, to reduce dropout rate of the students from the village. Most of the villagers are migrant farm-laborers and fall under the low-income background.

This school is in the tribal district of Mayurbhanj in Odisha state. The school was started in the year 2011. It teaches students from grades K-8 with approximately 260 students. Enrollment is expected to go up by 100 more students in the upcoming academic year, from neighboring villages. Most of the villagers are tribals, and migrant farm-laborers, and fall under the low-income background.

This school is in the tribal district of Sundargarh in Odisha state. The school was started in the year 2011. It teaches students from grades K-7 with approximately 150 students. Enrollment is expected to go up by 90 more students in the upcoming academic year, from neighboring villages. Most of the villagers are tribals, and migrant laborers, and fall under the low-income background.
