Our Sri Sri Vidya Mandir School in Katselma, Jharkhand is only offered till class V currently. Appu is our Graduate
who passed class V last year (2006) . He was an exceptional student, securing more that 90% of marks in all subjects. He was extraordinary in mathematics and Science. He sometimes showed glimpses of talent much more than his age. He topped in his School and got merit based admission in the nearby Middle School.
Appu continues to be the top student of his middle school, and also has made his mark with his conduct and demeanor with fellow students and teachers. Appu’s overall excellence has put the Art Of Living Tribal School in very high esteem among the locals.
Appu says that apart from the normal studies on various subjects, the Art Of Living Tribal School teachers also put a lot of emphasis on Human Values and Yoga and Meditation which has helped him in developing a broad and pleasing personality.
Appu is still a part of the Art Of Living family. He contributes and does seva in all school functions, Annual sports Day etc. He also gives encouragement to his juniors (from his Ex School) by helping them in studies.

Jyoti Kumari was the topper of Class V from current session i.e. 2007. In just one month of time in the new middle school she teaches our Satsang Bhajans to fellow students. Shri BB Chawla, Director (Tribal Schools) has instructed continued support to all such alumni in form of books and other study materials.
Due to these students there has been a rave of reputation of Sri Sri Vidya Mandir in the adjoining villages. This was well reflected in a clamor for new admissions by the guardians. Due to logistical difficulties we had to restrict the no. to 65; but this serves as a mandate for opening 2 more schools at Mahuatoli and Silafari villages in recent future.
Just like Appu Singh, Jyoti also is well connected with the Art Of Living family. “My whole family practices Art Of Living techniques and it has resulted in so much happiness and fulfillment to all of us”, say Jyoti who participates in singing during AOL Satsangs
